PALAZZO FOUNDATION

The Palazzo Foundation was founded in April 1998 and managed by Enrica Pesciallo-Bianchi. Its aim is the acquisition and renewal of the building named “Casa Baggio” or “Palazzo dei Landfogti” of Malvaglia Rongie, built in the XV century, which is included in the list of historical monuments, in order to bestow it to activities described as: cultural and/or entertaining, public or private, historical researches in different areas, gathering of historical documentation about Ticinese emigration, reunions, artistic and handcraft exhibitions and every other activity that matches the interests of the public.

IMPORTANT SYNERGIES TO GIVE A NEW LIFE TO "CASA BAGGIO"

The Palazzo foundation has made the historical building available for cultural activities of various sort.

The objective is to bring back Casa Baggio, which is listed within the historical monuments, to the antique splendour that characterized it when it was, presumably, centre for the administration of the Landfogti. The Foundation will develop, from its own side, historical studies about the origin and the actual use of the building in the past, and from the other side, will organize a centre for gathering historical documentation about Ticinese emigration.

Thanks to a forehanded broadcasting, the Palazzo Foundation and the Association Centre of Tibetan Culture for Peace found out important synergies to develop jointly.
The managing board of the Association Centre of Tibetan Culture for Peace is grateful to the Foundation for making the spaces available to their activities in the centre of Malvaglia, and invites its supporters to encourage with donations or personal engagement not only the events organized by the Association, but also the renewal of the preciuos bulding. In this way it will become very attractive for all the people seeking history, spirituality and a future reach of compassion, tolerance and peace.
